A Sleepover with Bea

Bea (previously known as Thumbelina) is my favourite little girl from our last litter. I formed an incredibly close attachment to this little pup and fully intended to keep her, but when her perfect family came along I just knew that she belonged with them.

Bea now lives about 40 minutes away and I see her often. She has her own little boy, who likes to read Harry Potter books to her and goes on long walks in the woodland, just a stones throw from her door. Bea is maturing into a beautiful pup and has a wonderful kind temprament and is very calm.

She came for a couple of nights sleep over because her pawrents sadly had to attend a funeral some miles away.

Whilst they were away, we had a wonderful time. She walked into the house like she had never left and the girls knew who she was instantly. Big sister Peggy never left her side and the two were thick as thieves, sharing bones and chasing up and down the stairs together. Edna took on the role of a teacher and gave her lovely cuddles and shared toys, but would gently tell her off if things got too rough.

We had some fantastic walks on the Moors whilst Bea was here. She didn't bother with the rain one bit and showed no interest in the livestock on the Moors either.

I also groomed Bea whilst she stayed with me. She was such a dream to groom! This is Bea when she arrived 😂 I actually love the fuzzy puppy look, but equally I love seeing her beautiful face.

Bea's Mum has recently invested in some grooming kit and I have gifted her a few bits also. Once lockdown is lifted I plan to go over and give her a few grooming lessons.

We actually have lots of plans for this little pup; I am hoping to attend some of the same training seminars that her Mum wants to go on and we have beach walks planned and lots of days out with things to sniff and dogs to chase.

I'd also love to see this little girl in the ring. I think her human brother would love junior handling or perhaps some kind of obedience, but lockdown is preventing all 😭

Fingers crossed that it is all lifted soon!

Anyway, enough of the lockdown negativity. Bea, myself and the doggos had a whale of a time whilst she stayed with us and her Mum has promised us more sleep overs soon. I am so grateful that I am still able to be a part of this little lady's life!

Bea may well have a litter with us (subject to health testing etc) when she is old enough, although nothing is set in stone right now.
