As I have written in previous blog updates - I work for the emergency services, so whilst most people have been at home for the last 3 or 4 months I have been run ragged!
Between work and dog walking, I have had very little time for anything else, but I wouldn't change a thing.
The dogs are all doing just great.
Peggy is currently in season.
A week ago she had her hips X rayed, ready for scoring. I had booked this long before I knew that seasons were imminent.
I expect that the wait for the results will be a long one though as the BVA scoring panel have only just returned to work. I hear that they are currently cashing cheques dated 23rd Feb.
I don't mind a wait though and whilst I am curious to see what I have produced, I do not intend to use them for quite a while. Peggy is still only 2 years old and whilst some breeders rush to have their dog's first litter at this age - I believe in waiting until a dog is properly mature.
Below is the image. I am by no means an expert in orthopaedics, but they look pretty great to me.
Edna should be in season again shortly too and may be going to visit a boy. Watch this space.
Stanley is also fine...lets just say he is a little sexually frustrated (despite being neutered) LOL.
We are definitely looking forward to Inca visiting again soon and I think that she will become firm friends with Peggy (once she learns that the hair pulling game isn't much fun!)
Other than that, there is very little to report. Things are ticking along very nicely. I am still in regular contact with my previous puppy owners and have set up a private Facebook group for both them and any prospective Marcasite Poodle owners, so that they can share their pictures, anecdotes and ideas with one another. It is a lovely, informative little group and can be found by clicking HERE
