Peggy's individual television advert

Sainsbury's bank pet insurance department have released an individual 15 second advert for each of the dogs who starred in the original.

Here is Peggy's individual advert below.

I think it is brilliant and although the video is relatively short; it is definately the one which required the most skill from the canine actors.

In the three days since it has been released this advert has been viewed more than 67,000 times on Facebook alone!

Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show

On Sunday Peggy and I attended the Scottish Kennel Club Championship show in Edinburgh.

We had a lovely day. Peggy placed Reserve in Junior Bitch class and then 1st in Special Beginners. We then placed Reserve in the Special Beginners group challenge.

Unfortunately we have not qualified for Crufts 2020 with these placings, but we had a fantastic day nonetheless and I was certainly pushed in regards of my grooming. I am very much still learning how to prep Peggy for shows and feel that every time I do this I am improving slightly; which is so satisfying.

Although I didn't know anyone at the show we were made to feel very welcome - we were definately the only silver standard poodle entered in the show and several people approached and asked me if she was a cafe au lait (brown) or commented that they had been in the breed for X number of years and had never seen a real silver! Perhaps there aren't many silver poodles in Scotland?

Following the show we embarked on the long journed back to Devon - having completed a total number of 1200 miles!

We are now having a pyjama and movie day in bed, to recover from our mammoth journey 😊

Peggy's filmwork debut.

I have been absolutely bursting to share this but wasn't allowed to until now.

A few weeks ago Peggy and I travelled all the way to Edinburgh (which is over 500 miles away!) where we took part in an advert for Sainsbury's bank 150th birthday.

The shoot actually took place on Peggy's first birthday, but I hadn't realised that until I got there!

Although Peggy shares the same wonderful temprament as her Mother, I knew that it would be a big ask for a such a young puppy to work with so many distractions.
When we arrived and saw the set, complete with a camera on a train rig, as well as the sheer volume of people present I must admit, I did worry a tad.
I needn't have however, because Peggy - or Marilyn as she was known for the purposes of the production; did everything that was asked of her and was a little superstar - taking everything in her stride. I can only put this down to her regular exposure to crowds and noises at dog shows. My dogs generally live a very quiet life here with me, so it always suprises me how great they are in new situations.

Peggy is very much an active young dog but is incredibly eager to please and like most poodles will do anything for food!
For the scene with the 'Pawsecco' she did not want to drink (I don't think she liked the smell of it) and the production company were desparate for the shot, so we added a few of her favourite treats to the bottle to encourage her interest.

Here is the video below:

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Greenroomfilms for accomodating us; we really did have a fantastic time on set and hope that you are as thrilled with the final cut as we are!

Edna's dramatic new do!

A few days ago we went to Cornwall where we met with our friend Emily who helped me groom Edna into a German trim.
I was absolutely dreading her ears coming off but I have to say I love it!
Huge thanks to Emily for holding my hand and encouraging me to make a decision.

Here are a few photos of Edna with Peggy and Stan on their walk today.

Waggy Wanders

They say no news is good news! And we don't really have any at all.

We have been on lots of walks though, both alone and with our friends and their dogs so I thought I'd share some of the pictures from them.
